Up late tonight so decided to stop by and wish all the Cathy clan a beautiful day. I usually read the comments about 12 hours from now. I am staying on top of all the developments.

Cathy, stick with the one-piece you have on now. It looks better than anything else you’ve tried on.

Oh, come on Cathy! You had it right in the First Place! Look in the mirror and therein lies the blame…but, don’t be too hard on yourself. You know, genetics (unfortunately, this is a real problem for Some people); lack of persistence to exercise because there is just not enough time (!); but my mother taught me to eat every last bite because other children in (insert country of choice) are starving and would gladly eat your meal (unfortunately this is still a very real problem); just one little bite, and there goes the entire bag of (insert your favorite treat), and other similar thoughts. All sarcastically noted. But, really, don’t pass the blame…I hope everyone has a restful moment sometime during today’s hectic life! ;)

In an email to Lorilee, I say Cathy was not that fat. Coming back my freshman year at Northern Michigan, she was a high school senior. She was skinny as a junior. She filled out. But she was so obsessed she was fat. She was still Cathy to me.

You had it right to begin with, Cathy: you are to blame for your current (body) unhappiness. No one — or thing — can make you overeat and not exercise. Like it or not, that’s something YOU choose to do and saying anything else other than that is just an excuse you use so that you don’t have to feel guilty at what you’ve done to yourself. Haven’t you lost any weight yet with the new diet you and Irving went on together? If you haven’t, then you’ve obviously been cheating!
Hi, rgcviper!

Or we could just stop the “blame game” and get busy and do something about it….but that would be so un-American.

I don’t understand how you got so obsessed with weight. My wife could have picked some handsome Navy Pilot at the officer club. But she spent the night dancing with me. You know what I look like. 40 years is not build on good looks. It is build on love and a partnership. We both gave up a lot to be together.

The problem with being overweight is that you don’t attract supposedly Mr. Right. You have to be hot for him to fall in love with you.I was a Naval Officer, a college graduate from a politically powerful family from Michigan. I met a beautiful Mexican girl. She spoke no English. She has no papers. She has only a third grade education from a little village in Mexico. But I learn much more from her.I learned about being happy. She was kind hearted to others. She was loving mother who made her children feel special. She was a wife who was there when I was down. It was not about her, but her family. My life stands on the rock that is my wife.
