Eek! I’ve seen some really nice bridesmaid dresses especially recently. Making your own simple one is a good idea and can actually be cheaper than buying pre-made and altering.Or you can add accessories, like summerdog’s idea of bolero jackets yesterday. Or you can do what’s been done for years, and just pick what the bride wants and the bridesmaids have to deal with it. :-).Hello Cathy clan! Thank you for the links to formatting comments, friends! Sis, I’m sorry your family is going through that. It’s very tough to deal with, but I hope your nephew recovers well. It really helps that he got help so quickly and that he is young. I think my mom didn’t get help for a while, thanks to her idiot neighbor who claimed to be her friend, but with lots of therapy she is doing okay.Have a nice weekend all! I may not post tomorrow, and definitely won’t post over the weekend as we are going on a short trip.

“Old” is the key word here, Cathy, that you should be paying attention to. Dress them accordingly.

I like a current trend where the bride chooses the color and lets each bridesmaid choose her own dress. The result is a uniform color with each girl dressed in something she likes and feels comfortable wearing.
