Exactly what I was thinking, Brian… this must have been in the time of the housing bubble when people were going nuts over real estate. I think (hope) people are more cautious these days, plus the banks are requiring more proof of value..Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! What I wouldn’t give to have something like this happen to us when we’re ready to sell our house! Unfortunately, I don’t expect that to happen though. While we’ve made several improvements to it over the 26 years we’ve lived here, it’s still an “old” house that was built in 1985 and there’s just no getting around that fact. But despite that, hopefully it’ll have more than enough going for it that even if it doesn’t get multiple offers over asking price, it’ll still be considered good enough to get as close to asking price as possible. It’s really hard to say what’s going to happen because we’re nowhere near ready to sell our house just yet. But I’ll admit that an outright bidding war between multiple buyers sure is a nice fantasy to have though! ;-)
