You can’t even suggest that someone in your office try to lose weight anymore, Mr. Pinkley! Not even if they all want you to.

Other than the total unlikelihood of an “office weight loss challenge” (can you imagine the outrage?), I’m getting a bit annoyed by everyone getting upset by everything. On one hand, some things should be objected to (i.e. discrimination), but on the other hand, we need to let some things go and just not react to them.

For example, I have a friend (well, an ex-friend recently), who gets upset by everything and then she holds a grudge about it for the longest time. We go to the same church and we used to go to the early service together at 8:30 (we also had an 11:00 service). Well, the church decided that there were so many people going to the 11:00 service that they’d add a third service between the two at 9:45. This meant that the service times would have to be adjusted to fit all three services, so now the early service is 8:15. Well, not only does she still complain about this change 5+ years later, but she now almost never comes to church because she says it’s too early to get her and her kids up and ready. 15 minutes, that’s all! Meanwhile, my kids and I just get up almost at the same time as we do for school and manage it fine. Yes, I’d love the extra sleep, but we enjoy church and go when most people don’t, like during summer or other holidays. This is the same person who has complained for a while that someone jokingly called her a “troublemaker” in greeting, In the words of Elsa, let it go…

hello Cathy friends! Happy Monday! A long weekend of volleyball tournaments for Lil. Her team didn’t win anything, but they improved and it was a good experience. I hope you all had a good day!

I was going to think of some synonyms for Weight, Loss, and Challenge, but then we’d just have the same problem. Sooo, let’s just go with a trusty [eye-roll] here.

Good thing we stock up on those things for our favorite whack-a-doodle. [Smile]

    HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.
