I remember so well when I found out I was pregnant with our first daughter…after 17 years of trying. Before the “official” word (I knew I was, but hadn’t done a test or seen a doctor yet) I didn’t tell ANYONE – not even my husband – except for one good friend. I had to tell someone & knew her to be discrete. A week later the official announcement was made. My friend’s mother was so p*ssed off that my friend didn’t even tell her! (The “baby” is now 15 and the mom still teases her daughter about that.)
