Cathy Classics by Cathy Guisewite for July 05, 2020
Transcript:
Cathy: My body asked for water. I gave it chips! My body craved fruit. I gave it potato salad! My body wanted protein. I gave it a soda! My body demanded veggies. I gave it a hot dog! My body hungered for whole grains. I gave it red jello, blueberry pie and a big blob of white ice cream! Caption: On the 4th of July, we celebrate our independent spirit. On the 5th of July, we don't. Cathy: Must you always stage your own little rebellion in there??!!

I would ask, “Gee, comic Cathy—wonder what brought on these July 5 regrets?” However, I fear the Sarcasm Scale would go off the charts …
At least her food choices had patriotic colors in the “grains” panel, though.
