Irving: The hotel I booked has no phone, no TV, no DVD player, no game system and no radio! I'm holding the only thing I need to make this the vacation of a lifetime! Cathy: Oh, honey... Irving: A ten-outlet power strip, so I can simultaneously charge all my electronics every night! My state-of-the-art equipment puts all that hotel junk to shame!!

sigh… how romantic… in a pigs eye that is.

I hate it when I go on vacation and end up doing pretty much exactly what I do at home, just in someone else’s house. I want an adventure. Something new. Not sorry.

I knew Irving didn’t mean it in panel two. So did Cathy, deep down.

I work in IT. I couldn’t take all those gadgets on a vacation because I KNOW one of them would have a problem requiring me to troubleshoot, research on the Net, and contact customer support. I take books. Books don’t break, nor do they continually try to sell me things. :)

I do not even want to take any electronic devices when I go on vacation. That includes my dumb phone. Unfortunately even Disney is changing things so it is becoming necessary to carry a smart phone. I might even have to break down and finally get one. I wonder if my digital camera counts as an electronic device as I certainly carry it with me.
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and is off to a great start for the week.

Ugh. I hope Cathy’s [eye-roll] here doesn’t run Irving over …
