If I were Cathy, this would be the point where I’d say: “Fine! Do and wear whatever you want. I don’t care. I’m done with you so don’t EVER call me again!” and walk away.
Given that he drove them to the mall (on 5/3), then I’d have to find another way home, but even if I had to walk every step of the way back (and in those heels, no less!) it would be well worth it to never have to see his stupid, ungrateful face again. What a colossal jerk! And yet ….. she eventually marries him anyhow. Go figure! ¯\(ツ)/¯
