At least Andy has no delusions about who he is.

Andy is sort of like Otis on the Andy Griffin show. He was Mayberry’s town drunk and his own key to his jail cell.

Obviously a new hire.

This strip would have worked better as a classic 4 panel strip…half the strip here, is just filler…..

Maybe Andy is just following in his Uncle “Lefty” Capp’s footsteps

No actually… I’m taking that back. Andy Capp is my childhood hero and was the only comic character who I loved to see in the newspaper.

GoComics has been driving me up the wall lately with it’s ‘character sensitive’ thing too. It’s especially bad when I copy and paste replies. Glad x_Tech explained yesterday.

Believe it or not, I actually typed out your reply to me from yesterday as it only acts itself when I try to copy and paste. I know I didn’t need to do it but I wanted you to see what I was replying to. I also done the same with Mikeyj’s comment.

I opened up a new tab and loaded up yesterday’s comments, looked for your reply and then typed it out. Not missing out a comma, word or full stop. I’m not going to do this every time. No way. I only did it because it was short.

And don’t worry… I didn’t feel put out or infringed upon at all.

I really DO prefer girls in glasses, even the leading ladies in the (non-published) comics I drew always had leading ladies sporting eyewear! (Julie, 1977-1990. Lisa 1993-current)
