OK, great commentary (especially the complaints part); however, what’s up with the bear in the left hand corner?

That’s a dog, I believe, but WHAT? No comment from the diminutive duck? Are we left to create our own?

I think the duck is speechless, and probably for its own good!

Duck, bear — what’s with you old geezers? This was a test. You must be fur-eigners. Pronounce this word: Plate. And what city do the Dodgers play out of? But why is his front door so big? Mighty suspicious, I’d say..It would be perfect if the thing spoke with the voice of Marvin the Martian.

The voice of Douglas Rain (aka HAL 9000) would be appropriate too. Though something called “drone” should really just go on and on in an unchanging monotone that never seems to stop.

Drones developed and first used by Bush and the Republicans. And would you send our troops, and spend billions more, to ferret out avowed enemies of our country.? Remember, WE did not declare jihad. Are we to just sit back and not respond to the 9/11s, underwear bombers, shoe bombers, etc. who are recruited/trained/armed by these jihadists? Pakistan, et. al. can whine all they want, but since they choose to not confront these terrorists, WE have no choice. Since THEY choose not to respect others’ way of life, they put themselves in harm’s way. Or do you want another Mali?

The right is again showing their hypocrisy, like after Obama got Bin Laden, by suddenly protesting something that saves American lives. Call me when the GOP learns the definition of honor, decency, integrity, or courage.

Actually the hypocrisy is with the Dems who were loudly critical of Bush on waterboarding, which didn’t kill anyone, but are just mildly opposed to Obama’s use of drones on Americans which do.

We would have had a perfect right to execute Benedict Arnold, had we been able to catch him, whether we’d sent an assassin to England or caught him some other way. I have no problem with “droning” traitors. Of course, most of the combatants that are killed that way are just terrorists (traitors to the religion of Islam, of course, but that’s a different matter entirely………)

The first “drone” in use was the V-1. It was “point and shoot” and the fuel load determined where it landed. It too was a “terror weapon”, notable for its distinctive sound, especially when the sound stopped. Our drones today of course are much more sophisticated, but no less “terror weapons” BECAUSE they are silent, until death comes.

A long rifle can also take out an enemy, but the sniper on the ground is then exposed, even if a “safe” distance from the target. Drones guided by a person on the ground to confirm ACCURATELY the target, make our troops “safer”, and limit “collateral damage”.

As to targeting “American citizens”, it doesn’t bother me to take out an enemy combatant out to kill me or my friends, irregardless of where he was born, when he’s become a traitor. Especially when he’s no longer living in the U.S., and has renounced his country, and citizenship.

You’d think the gun nuts would be frantically trying to kill the whole drone program. After all, what if they need to exercise their Second Amendment right to overthrow the government if they decide it is too tyrannical? That job would be much easier if the government’s military didn’t have drones. I mean, the gun nuts’ assault rifles would be pretty ineffective against a drone, as opposed to…uh…a tank.

I believe Crusade was used AFTER 9/11. Perfectly improper term, but it’s our complement to jihad. We are there for oil, first and foremost, and coincidently to protect Israel. While there will always be terrorists, we will still be fighting/meddling until Arabs and Jews get serious about real peace.

I’m not wild about killing Americans or innocent non-Americans for something they ‘might’ do, or for being too close to someone else who might do something some day. Whoever believes that Romney would have been some kind of saint in office who would never have done that, go stand on the big yellow X over there, and don’t look up.

I sure they are Americans that thought going into Pakistan to clip Osama was wrong also. Would it have mattered if he was an American citizen? Not to me.

Bin Laden was Been Evil and Done That, not “leaning” to the evil side. (I mean, how many more thousands of people would he have had to kill before being eligible for execution?)
