Talking on a phone?! How last millennium!

Now that you mention it, Destiny, maybe ‘phone’ will lose its real meaning, like ‘gay’ used to mean happy, and ‘organic’ used to describe a life form that has/had organs, or something that affects organs.

Does Paige’s phone have texting? I thought way back in the days before smartphone apps, you could tweet by sending a text to a particular number – or was that texting to an email address? I never did it myself.

Way back in the days…When I was Paige’s age you had to be a bird to tweet….

I’ve tried twice to become a twitterer and cancelled the account both times. Talk about dumbing down!

You are absolutely right Night Gaunt49. It is a sad day when we can not say that a person seems so gay today, they were positively beaming. Or that family from up in Primrose Hollar are sure a queer lot. No sir. This day and age we have to be so careful what we say. I am afraid to call the old banker in town a niggardly old skinflint.

I grew up with rotary dial phones. I think it was my second job, after the Marine Corps, where I started to use a push button phone. Good thing too, It was as a telephone salesman.

Maybe because the homosexuals use the term to describe themselves as well. As for gay still meaning happy, call a guy gay and check his reaction.

Couldn’t she use a phone booth…? Assuming they still exist.
