Rat: Check it out, Goat. I"m learning tightrope. Goat: That's great. Balancing is suppose to put you in a very zen-like state that is ultimately very satisfying to the soul. Rat: I think it's working.
I can just picture Rat performing in the circus, with a huge crowd of children and their parents all looking up at him and chanting, “Fall! Fall! Fall!”
Put the rope up higher, then put grease on the rope, now let rat walk the tight rope and fall . Hopefully on something real hard so he bashs his own brains . Kill the rat, kill the rat.
As I said with the Ghandi strips, Rat just uses any excuse to beat others up. This time it isn’t Rat’s id disguised as Ghandi doing it, it’s Rat himself.
Alert! Alert!Major “spilled coffee trope” [even if it’s actually tea] in panel 2! Clean up in panel 2!Goat exists to give Rat an outlet for his pent-up anger issues….

How many concussions does that make for Goat since he’s known Rat?

Although, “unbalanced”, Rat found this a very satisfying experience.

Let’s see…what does the word “rat” connote besides a small, furry rodent?

Then there was the tightrope walker whose career was ended by alcohol. One evening he was tight, and the rope was not!!

I think the rat learning tightrope is wound a little too tight.

rat is what he is, and there’s no use wishing he was something different. He performs his part in PBS.

Goat should’ve plucked the rope…

Rat’s pretty good. Not every tightrope walker could sling his balance pole around like that, and stay upright.

Hey, where’s the little rising squiggly line topped by a star over Goat? Missed opportunity, Stephan.

He’s a Rat though, so it doesn’t really count. Rat’s are amazing at climbing and walking on things.
