Red and Rover by Brian Basset for February 28, 2013
Transcript:
My paper on what I want to be when I grow up is due today. I'm sure I'll get a really good grade. What makes you say that?! C'mon, what teacher would risk squashing the hopes and dreams of a 10 -year-old boy longing to go into space?! One who thinks it should be girls who go into space.

Two types female bosses, ones that help you and ones that think you need to stay down because only they can rise above other females.

If the teacher is anything like those that came out of the sixties then she’ll say that the money for space exploration could be better spent solving all the problems on Earth first. Which basically means we would never get into space.

@The Life I Draw UponThat would be Valentina Tereshkova, who flew Vostok 6 on 16 June 1963, about five years before Red’s story line. She is still revered as a heroine in post-Soviet Russia.

Just another example of Government waste!
Just like that stupid bimbo Isabella funding that ignorant posuer Columbus’ trip to nowhere. Even if there were a “New World” what good could come of it!
Like that, ya mean?

ARF2: Justifiably too. Ten years and four days – the space between Valentina Tereshkova and Sally Ride, the first American female permitted to go into space..Loy Wells: Lists are easily available. The real question is why we spend so much on destroying the crops and houses around the world on an increasing military/corporate dictatorship here rather than feeding and housing the civilians of this country.
