Not wanting to agree too much lol… But I read it as London’s M25 too, having not been to Michigan but have visited London a few times I found it funnier. I always saw Id as being set in oldie worldie England but populated by American actors.
I not only still have my D&D books, but also my dice in my dice bag with my monogram sewn on it, and even my old character pieces, none of which I’ve used in 30 years. I’m always hoping someday I can be in a campaign with a bunch of friends again like I used to do!
I like the role-reversal premise of today’s W of I. It’s one of the best gags I have seen from this strip in a long time. BTW, it really is immaterial what “M-25” you can think of out here in the material world. This is the kingdom of ID (as in the Id, Ego, and Superego of psychological theory) and therefore the references are all symbolic, anyway.
But they don’t, other states use different designations. But I sure this one does refer to the UK one, because in MI it wouldn’t be referred to as “the” M-25.

Roleplaying games, help the imagination grow and not the fingers and thumbs like first person shooters do.

That’s hilarious. Who wants to role-play as a Wizard or a Knight when you’re already are one?
