It’s a massive scam. The late British astronomer Sir Patrick Moore would go ballistic when the odd ignoramus would ask him how he had become an astrologer. He would snap back, " astronomy is a science, astrology is rubbish". Said with a glare that could reduce his interlocutor to a pile of ash.
True horoscope readings, although still nonsense, involve the actual date and location (down to longitute and latitude) of your birth. Generic newspaper horoscopes don’t deal with the location aspect. Different people may have the same birthdays but different locations.
This is funny! Susan is right. It is a total scam.
Astrologists say the ‘alignment of the planets’ affects you at your birth. I asked how of one and she said, “The gravitational pull of the planets is what causes change.” HA! The gravitational pull of a nearby mountain has vastly more effect on you than even the moon. And it is far closer and has far, far more gravitational pull on us than even the nearest or largest planets.
So, if you were born in Colorado versus Kansas, the mountains have more effect – if that gravitational pull has ANY effect – than ANY alignment of the planets or moon.
And, by the way, there is NO scientific evidence that gravity has any effect on your personality at birth. Zip. Nada. Zero.
Thanks for reading! Quite a bit of news about NANCY…..and I post it all at www.nancyandsluggo.com. I hope you’ll visit there often. Also, thanks to all who I hear from on Facebook and twitter! And THANK YOU for growing the readership of the strip on this site so we are now one of the most read strips every day!

I always read my horoscope. It is always correct or wrong. I just keep reading all of them until one fits. Check yesterday’s paper.

When I found that Chuck Norris, Osama bin Ladin and I all have the same birthday I knew there was nothing to horoscopes.
