I enjoyed the first sign of spring after eating 3 chili dogs at the Varsity last night.

We’re having a “Baconfest St. Louis” today downtown. Yesterday’s headline read: “Local chef creates 500-pound ‘hog log’”, I can’t wait, because everyone knows, Everything goes with bacon. Especially before a major winter weather event.

It’s about the same as my neighbor’s cooking….

On the first day that the temperature broke into the 60’s in Montreal, I’d go to Victory Hotdog for a couple steamies and fries. The line-up to get in were usually long but moved pretty quickly. I sort of miss doing that.

My condolences. Here in Toronto, we’ve managed to evade many of the nasty storms that hit the US, but I can’t help thinking that sooner or later, we’re gonna pay for that…

Hope they don’t blame Louie for the smell.

Seeing the temps go above freezing once and for all in a given year … definitely.
