sammy; Its nice outside. Im thinking bike ride.
AmyL wear your helmet.
Sam: Dad says he never wore a helmet.
Amy: right, and now he spends weekends rearranging his sock drawer.
Amy: dont tell him on has nothing to do with the other.
Lola: No problem.
Even in the 1970âs you couldnât find a bike helmet because they werenât made. Around 1975 Bicycling magazine recommend a Hockey helmet for serious cyclists.
Itâs wise to wear a helmet. Itâs also wise if youâre going to ride your bike or walk at night to wear light clothing so motorists can see you. Too many people are wearing dark clothing and itâs hard to see them, this is dangerous.
@Lamberger:Nanny-state indeed. My Harley-drivinâ neighborâs funeral is tomorrow. He T-boned some kid that pulled out in front of him around dusk âI donât need no dam lights or a helmet, the noise of my âpipesâ is enoughâ attitude..Yeh, Right. At least the neighborhood is quiet now.
OBTW; I quit bikinâ after 54 years. Only one go-down..Oil slick in the rain. I figgered I was pushing it, what with the stoops that populate the roads today.

Another stupid thread. Right up there with the school safety overkill.
