(I know, I know, Sluggo goes “Yep” instead of “E-yup”, but leave us not split hairs.)

Good practice, Sluggo. You’re gonna make a great “yes” man.

That’s what we learn in "Man School’…. If you say no (sometimes) she’ll say “way to go!” If you say yes, it’s her (and sometimes our) happiness…..——————————————————————————I say this, because when my wife and I were dating, she made it clear that she DIDNT want a yes man, but at the same time, I’ve learned that it gets balanced out with “happy wife, happy life”…. so, the whole key is learning the right times to say no, and when to say yes…. and when there’s a chance, to go ahead and indulge her beautiful heart’s desires…..-———————————————————————————And of course, no matter what, show her that she is your whole world….. it’s a beautiful thing when you’re not only marriage mates, but best friends, too!

Sounds like something that Popeye would have said, with the same reaction from Olive Oyl. Hey, maybe Popeye and Olive could be invited to Phil and Fritzi’s wedding. Might give him an idea.

Actually, happiness can be with marriage, or without. One can live a fulfilling life, either way, if one’s mind and heart are well adjusted for either. Even the Bible says that singleness can be a gift, just as marriage can be… -———————————————————————————————But that’s the key….. doing either one should be for the RIGHT reasons…. not everyone is cut out for singleness, not everyone is cut out for marriage….. and if most bachelors WERE to agree with you, well, SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE is getting married. so, did you ask THOSE bachelors? lol!

Well, if they’re married, they should be invited. If Olive can put up with Popeye all these years, it would show that Fritzi could also put up with Phil. I had no idea that they got married.

Found out that they are married. But, they were married in a special 70th anniversary comic book, but not in the strip.
