Don’t need a lot of days “schmoozing around” with people to feel fulfilled… it’s the quality of each day spent with people who REALLY care and take an interest in you, not the quantity of “being seen” with people that won’t even bother to remember you in 5 years, unless you can “do something for them”….
“but what little there is general showed him doing better than little sister.”^Yes, I know… it’s just that I relate, in general, that everyone is not ALWAYS better than everyone else in everything ( I reference some doctors as evidence, from my particular work experience who can work on the human body, but can’t even operate a fax or copier or such…)==The panels show Brad without a bunch of books… when I was school age, some of us got done faster than others… what we don’t see in all the panels, is when someone CHECKS the homework… that’s why I joked that maybe he was done faster…And GRADES (for emphasis only) don’t always translate into KNOWLEDGE… sometimes, but not ALWAYS..
And judging from the maxim that “a cluttered desk is the evidence of a cluttered mind”, it may also be said that Lu’s mind is filled with several distracionS, while Brads mind is filled with just A distraction (without the “s”).. or it can be said Brad’s mind is pretty much a roomier place in the ol’ noggin, uncomplicated, vs. Luann’s “complicated” mind and life…
“Why is it that Luann studies hard while Brad just reads his stupid comic books, yet she STILL gets lousy grades???”-The answer is in the question.Comic books build brain power.
Brad sits down, does his homework, finishes, has time for comic books. Luann sits down, pretends to work, complains about the work, stares at the books, and never gets started, let alone finished.
