Teacher: The play describes the courtship between Katharina and Petruchio, who wants to subdue Katharina's legendary temper and win her dowry. Teacher: Baldo, can you please wake up Gilbert? Baldo: Why me? Teacher: Because you're sitting right next to him. Baldo: Yeah... Baldo: But I'm not the one who put him to sleep.

The BBC “Complete Works” production is hilarious. John Cleese is Petruchio. Turn on the subtitles, though; you’ll need ‘em.
