    When I was in school the teachers all made a big deal about it NOT being a “movie” but an “educational film”.

    When I was in the sixth grade (c. 1957) every junior high and senior high student in our entire town was bussed to the town’s only movie theater to see the movie The Ten Commandments. Heads would roll today for such a thing.

    We always saw 16mm films in the classroom. And it was the height of entertainment if the projector jammed and burned a hole in the film.
