There were so many years of Li’l Abner, why do you repeat these paltry few strips’ stories over and over again? With the same Fosdick ‘chair story’ inserted on occasion. Com’on guys, have a heart….open up the archives for us fans.
I think that someone commented in the past that the reason for not more stories is that GoComics does not own the rights to publish them. They have been repeating the same few stories for years now. It would seem that by now they could have come up with some kind of agreement with the copyright owners to publish what must be a vast amount of unpublished material.
If you magnify it, the dialogue will be easily readable. I’ve read a few “Li’l Abner” collections over the years but never tried it on GoComics until the other day. (I happen to be reading a biography of Al Capp at the moment: he seems to have been a rather nasty piece of work!) Now we’re back at the beginning of it, but does this mean this is one of the few story arcs that GoComics has the rights to? If so, that would be very disappointing.
