I say the current one-pope-per-planet is the better idea. That way the pope from, say, Neptune could fill in for Earth’s pope the next time he’s disabled.
No, no, I think this has potential. Consider the following:
Humans never always agree with each other. As the size of a group increases, the probability that people will start arguing approaches 100%.
The pope is supposed to be infallible.
There are around 200 countries.
With 200 “infallible” popes, who are pretty much guaranteed not to all agree with each-other on everything, well….
[[sits back and breaks out the popcorn]]
Hmmm this just might work……
