@ImaHwi Yes! Very well done. I was also admiring the way Marty stage-set the table, with all characters facing us so we can see their expressions. I do wonder about all these typos…shouldn’t the “or” after “more” be “of” instead?
Alvin’s description of the meat is a perfect match for my mother’s roast beef, which always had a layer of fat on the top that would be both crusty and salty. And delicious! We never had gravy, but just the pan juices, if any. Yum. Everybody’s so afraid of fat now, it’s hard to find a roast with that good layer. (In grocery stores, that is; maybe butchers have them that way.)
