That’s not a bad idea JanBic. Maybe Walt can be spiritually reunited with Phyllis at the old comics home. This reminds me of the time Walt dreamed of being with the old comics characters from his youth.
Remember when Walt first started this…..there was that ominous message that Gertie was trying to wake him up.http://www.gocomics.com/gasolinealley/2013/04/12
I don’t know who any of them are except for Annie and Alfalfa if that’s him. The guy talking about Slim’s weight isn’t exactly slim himself! At least Slim’s buttons are staying put.
It is Hot Shot Charlie. The little dude on the other side is Shadow Smart from “Harold Teen” The guy talking to slim is Sweeney from “Sweeney and Son.” The kid with Annie might be Skippy, but I don’t think so. The only one I absolutely can’t identify is the one with the black mustache with Slim.
Originally, I was hoping Scancarelli would list a “Who’s Who” of who all those people are. But watching everyone guessing, it might be better if he doesn’t — at least, not for a while.

So will Walt stay at the old comics home solving the problem of how to gracefully retire a 100+ year old character?

Isn’t that guy on the far left Hot Shot from Terry and the Pirates.-IMHO this a really good way to end Walt’s career in Gasoline Alley.

… and the guy popping off the button into the bird’s open beak is from Smilin’ Jack???

NO. That is not Alfred E Newman. It is Chazz from Terry and the Pirates.

I thought Mutt often wore a fez and that it was Jeff whole usually wore the top hat. Don’t think I’ve ever seen Mutt with a top hat.
