The good news is that employers will think you’re great because you’re the end of the loaf.

I always skip the ends of the loafs then make a sandwich with the two end slides. Does that make it a Heelwich?

I always dig out of the middle of the loaf. That’s where the good bread is.You should leave the heels until last. They keep the rest of the bread from drying out. (Or so I was told).

Just stay away from the thyme, as it wounds all heels.

    Maybe he wouldn’t feel like such a heel if it weren’t for his ill-bread family . . . ☻

I save up my heels to make bread crumbs. But that doesn’t make them crummy, honest!

MissScarlet: I freeze them until they don’t fit on the fridge door shelf, the cube them, season some butter and toast them. Why buy croutons?

Two heels make a pretty good hamburger bun, in a pinch.

I’d think of something myself, but I just haven’t got the crust.
