No Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett didn’t start out this way. He read her poems and enjoyed them and they wrote back and forth for a time. She had to run away from home to marry him though she was in her 30’s because her father didn’t want any of his children to marry. He’d cut off their inheritance if they did.
