Oh no! I cannot imagine even a full bore, dyed in the wool plugger would still be able to do anything meaningful with a Commodore 64. I would rather be a computerless plugger than be a plugger with a Commodore 64.
I started with a C-64, then got the one of the briefcase-sized SX-64s to take on the road. I used it for over 15 years. There was a software system for it called GEOS which was very similar to the early MAC OS, except you used a joystick instead of a mouse.Interesting aside, my Bermese cat liked to sit on the Disc Drive…it kept her buns warm. She also liked siting on the dot-matrix printer when it ran. I think the little minx was getting “cheap thrills!”

Never used a Commodore 64…now a Commodore Pet, that’s different. DOS had its good points.

some of the older ones are still running. unlike many of the later models. and that includes my apple laptop. which died 5 months after I bought it.

Then they came out with the 128, and the world has never been the same.

I remember envying my friends who had C-64s or Kaypros. My first computer was the first-model Mac.

The C-64 was the second generation. I had the Vic 20 with tape to load software. Now, That’s old. SLOW should have been its name.

Didn’t have the color printer, but had the dot matrix and two disk drives. Wish I’d kept all of it.
