I am a sad little Latin nerd. I actually immediately set out to sight-read both the top and bottom banners. It wasn’t hard.

The problem with this strip is that everytime I go to a museum, my girlfriend and I start making up captions for the art. Fun, but the docents start to follow you around after a while!

That little stool in front of Mary indicates that Mike may be a shoe salesman (one with questioable fashion sense).

The wings clash with the gown, but now I see where the idea came from for the uniforms the Swiss Guards wear at the Vatican.

Don’t tell me they’ve got their own flag…?

I don’t speak or read Latin…anyone translate……….Something about “Watch out virgin you’re about to become pregnant”?

Well, they certainly don’t make him look fat, do they?
