Nerds are already invisible for all practical purposes that involve social interaction. I spent most of my childhood trying to attract attention.

Phoebe is correct: Marigold suggested it. Admittedly, it was an indirect, implied suggestion, true, but how else is one to interpret “Not nearly as transparent as you could be”, hmmm?
