Jimbo: Hello! You are a lively little guy! So bouncy and playful! Oh! You followed me home! That's priceless! Ha! I'm almost tempted to invite you in!
Squirrel: So where did I go wrong? I've seen that exact sappy act work for kittens and puppies!

Pet squirrels DON’T work out. Good call Jimbo.
(Had a Childhood Friend who tried, ouch!)

For a week we had a strange bird banging on the window next to our back door. We called him “Knucklehead”. Knucklehead would fly in at all hours, day and night, and peck and peck on the window. It drove us crazy. One morning we had opened the door to shoo Knucklehead off (again). On the hill, just a few feet away, was a squirrel. My husband jokingly said to the squirrel, “Take out Knucklehead and I’ll give you a pound of peanuts!” Oddly enough, that was the last time we saw Knucklehead!

Didn’t one of these tree rats live in their holiday tree during the winter? I wish I could have seen peekaboo trapping that rodent.

Sorry squirrel – no matter how cute you are, you’ll always be vermin.

I had a friend who had a pet squirrel but it stayed outdoors. It did it’s thing and came and visited her when she was out on the porch or working in the front yard. She didn’t try to trap it or anything. It worked out very well for them.

A classmate in ES had a pet squirrel – raised it from a baby. Then one day it took the tip of her big sisters finger off. Never saw that squirrel again – probably had it for supper :) Born wild always wild

Yes, squirrels are very cute to watch. And then they chew the wires under your car, or they destroy your chimney, they get into your attic space and cause havoc there. Oh yes, squirrels are just adorable. Then they show their true colors. Beware of the overly cute. They will turn on you.
