Maria, it’s YOUR time that you’re almost out of. Mom has HER time all scheduled out. If you run out of time and impose on Mom’s time, then you’ll be paying dearly.
When I was in kindergarten and 1st grade, my school was a very long way away from where I lived at the time. I am not sure how many miles away it was (the town has since built a new grade school in that neighborhood within walking distance of where I lived). I remember one time my sister and I walked home from school (I think I was in 1st grade at the time) and it took us at least 2 or 3 hours to get home.

That’s how it was in my town. Now it seems like you get a bus even if you live next door to the school- and you get driven to the bus.
