Carl has progressed farther into traditional origami than Roger ….

He now folds a new pair of old-fashioned hakama pants every other day….and usually a matching shirt…

But they just can’t get the folds right….and of course, they tear the paper, climbing around like….well…. like monkeys.

Speaking of freaks and soldiers and friends….

I didn’t get a chance to wish the Veteran good luck…

so, if you see this when you get back, Vet…know I was thinking about it… hoping you and those with you would be home soon and safe.

Little Monkeys…. when Red wakes up…I still owe him a drink, OK?

    Whatever he’d like.

    No, I’m sure you’ve invented a perfectly lovely pineapple Creme-de-Cacao julep……

but I don’t think Red wants one.Trust me.

Me? Oh…. um…. no thank you….too fancy for me.Yes… I’m sure Big Monkey would try it…. but he’s not here….Maybe you can get x_Tech to taste it….

Ooooh… just in time for the grammar discussion…

I never correct people (unless they make a mistake while obnoxiously correcting other people) but I do loves me a grammar discussion.

I’m with Bailey…“Carl can shinny up the door frame, but I sure can’t….”

It usually means awkwardly hanging on with your legs… or your shins. You don’t shinny up Mount Everest on your feet with a backpack.

To shimmy, OTOH, is to shake. Your car needs work if the wheels shimmy, and “the Shimmy” was a 1920’s hip-shaking dance craze…

No time to read all my comics, much less all the comments. Have to say he could hurt something doing that – and Susan, I KNOW which I am!

At least I’m somewhat back online, even tho’ my backup was not complete (missing all my email directories of saved purchase info and all in net favorites too).

FENTON !!! Good lad ! Give all of my friends a round on me and make sure Susan, Rrd, Bri and the rest who come after the turn have the adult beverages of their choice on me,My dear Ballardeer Friends, I’ve news for ye all.The ole Capt. is hauling anchor on May 8th, if the tides are willing and the stars are right. I shall be setting sail on my galleon, The Irish Rover, for the port of Guayaquil, Ecuador, in search of booty…er… plunder…ah… treasure…um..adventure… love ..nah …anyway stay tuned.Circumstances in life are moving me South – really south !From the 1st of May til the 7th, I shall be staying with daughter and grandson prior to departure but between fitting out the ship and everything else, my input for the next few weeks will be sporadic at best. You know how difficult it is to get wi-fi on the high seas.Don’t worry Stel, I’m keeping my home on Ballard Street and because of the mysterious magic of imagination, I will be making my appearance here at the Tiki, as often as possible.I love you all and have to say you guys are my anchor of sanity in a crazy world.Mis amigos, no estoy diciendo adiós, pero diciendo que voy a saludar a una nueva vida!

I just hope this doesn’t give the little guys the idea that they should invent more drinks.
