Horse hair? I thought he had gotten a hunk of sheep skin and glued in onto his head. Ryan’s right but people still do it. Shameful.

I’m not sure what is affecting Verl …. Did she not KNOW ?or did she think that others did not KNOW? (that he wears a wig) or is it just the “horsehair” thing (maybe she thought his hair was naturally coarse and scratchy). On some men, all their hair is that way ( not my man’s, thankfully ).

I’ve worn hats made of horsehair, lovely big sunhats!

Today’s find-it is the triangle (or dunce cap). Jule forgot to tell us. Probably had to head for the brain bleach after penning Jerry’s comments.

Don’t like the two white bubbles in the background… Would rather see a passing car tossing a garbage bag blowing out onto BULR’s lawn…. ! ! ! and beep.. beep.. beep…….

Ha, I was reading this strip for a good 2 years before I realized that “thing” on Jerry’s head was a “toop” and not a poorly-drawn HAT!

Now I know why Jerry is a horses a%* AND which part of the horse his “hair” comes from.

It IS just like this bunch to toss garbage out the windows (of cars ? and why do they stop there?). Before the days of garbage collection (and before I was born) people threw stuff onto the streets (where it was trodden into actual dirt/composted). That promoted all kinds of diseases from the filth, but they did not know better . . . wait . . . neither do the Pennys ;-/

My impression is that Verla is embarrassed by both remarks from Jerry….

I think he is so oblivious to his own image that he believes he can talk about wigs in general without anyone drawing the obvious conclusion….

But of course, they all know he wears one…and now, (I can see them thinking)he’s actually admitting that he wears make-up?

Good to see you Susan I wondered what happened to you but then I just hit BS so I know you are around! I DON’T BLAME YOU ONE BIT for moving out of Crustwood, and going to a better neighborhood! I mean, who wouldn’t want to “get out of Dodge” with neighbors like these?

In today’s economy, we could go broke just by buying Brain Bleach all the time!

Oh boy, Susan, just in from the pool in a wet suit (so can’t sit to type) Jerry wears makeup? Where COULD he? is more the question since he looks to be covered with that Brillo on most of him. I can’t believe that even poor Verla would settle for that. My X had nasty scratchy hair too, but not that much of it.
