I’ve heard of monkey business, but never racoon business.

Imagine someone thinking these upstanding young fellows, were they not on the way to their demanding jobs, working as brokers at the Ballard Street Stock Exchange and Drapery Emporium, (“Every window could be your window of opportunity!”)

might otherwise be in some back alley mucking about with garbage.

    Ugh!

Having just been transferred here from the Manhattan offices of their firm…Bright, Eyed and Bushytailed, Esqs, they are acutely unaccustomed to the suburban dwellers ignorant perception of their kind.

Looks like Stan is have strange dreams again. Seems Chinese food leads to heartburn. French Vanilla leads to calories he can’t burn and Double Grande Sour Cream Bean and Avocado Burritos leads to common neighborhood pest doing uncommon neighborhood pranks. Isn’t that Rusty Boy’s pipe? Wake up Stan it’s almost Monday morning.

The Coon Brothers of Ballard Street. A hansom pair of bandits if ever there were any. They can clear a trash can in seconds and leave no trace. You never know where they will strike next. Their motto: A balanced diet is a rancid chicken leg in each hand.

I thought maybe they came across the stuff IN Someone’s garbage that they were perusing. I think my lover got rid of all his pipes. I have one old photo hung on my frig where he holds a pipe. Just glancing at it brings back the lovely fragrance (in those days I liked to help him making his blend). I once gave him one of carved ivory because I liked the look, but he preferred the ones that were well worn in ;-)

I had a family of the critters come in through the pet door once. The two largest reared up snarling while the three little ones took a new 20 lb bag of dog food out the door. Found the empty bag behind the garage the next morning.

Back from West. Will lay out some of the detail tomorrow. Can compare it this way.Boston was a firecracker (I know folks got hurt bare with me)This was a small nuke. I saw houses gutted of all its belongings. Not by the folks. By the blast. Numerous elderly in the home were sucked out the broken windows by the return of the pressure to the blast site. (Nature hates a vacuum).50 to a hundred are now suffering eye problems from the blast wave damaging their retinas. This happens after the blast usually. Several have gone blind.Heading for home now. Been a long weekend.Time to decompress. The Tiki sounds fine!Hug the ones you love and know. That blast could have killed a lot more folks but for a few things that altered the pattern.

Glad you’re all right, Vet….physically, anyway.

I know other kinds of scars have to remain after something like that.Thanks.

The Monkey has a big batch of yak ribs in the smoker….and I’ll make sure you get a free beer…unless you’d prefer something harder…or even non-alcoholic.

I once had a semi-feral raccoon, named Helen. She was litter box trained and loved to sleep in one of my bathroom sinks. For the short time I had her, while she recovered from a gunshot wound, she was a fantastic house guest !Eventually, after she healed, she went back into the woods, only to reappear at my back porch a year later, to show off her cubs ! Never saw her again, but I took that as a thank you !
