A recent Norwegian TV program showed footage of a burning fire for 12 hours! Aphids can be born pregnant! The Karo Batak people of Indonesia exhume the bodies of dead relatives to wash their bones!
Burning logs on Television beats any “drama/comedy” on today, that’s for sure. At least there ain’t 100 sexual innuendos, laboriously-contrived “drama” of the sort only attention-hogs can conceive, and generally uninteresting plots per half hour (or 20 minutes, with 10 minutes of advertising inserted in).
Hey, the Wii’s Virtual Console let you download a fake fire to watch. It adds a romantic atmosphere without the smell of smoke or the risk of stray fire.

You’d need a huge swarm of ladybugs to get rid of those newborn mothers-to-be aphids.

Do aphids have that in common with tribbles?

Quite a time-saver, according to Dr. Leonard McCoy. “Dammit Jim, I’m a doctor, not an entomologist!”

Channel nine in New York City showed a burning fire every Christmas Eve, from seven pm til midnight. The last time I saw it was in 1975.
