I attribute Nate’s self esteem issues to the fact that that he doesn’t have a mother. He needs to be removed and placed in a home with 2 parents.

I didn’t even know a Big Nate Wiki existed until yesterday. I looked at it briefly. There’s a lot of information on there that’s out of date, or just plain wrong — like someone randomly assigning birth dates to the characters. That’s just made-up information, I’ve never given any of the characters birthdays. Anyway, I don’t have time to go in there and make corrections. It is what it is, and I won’t lose any sleep over it.

My prediction: I see Nate is developing a serious crush on her. She will remain friendly but will find a boyfriend elsewhere. She may even be oblivious to Nate’s crush.
I like that Lincoln does his strips so far in advance because the story lines are fait accompli when we see them and what we say has no influence on them. Can you imagine the jumbled story line if we, the readers, dictated it to him as it went along? lol

I only use the stencil to lightly trace the panels in non-photo blue pencil. But when I ink the strip, I either draw the panels freehand, or use a ruler when I want a line to look really straight.
