Alice: The toddlers are restless today. Beni: Something has them spooked. Alice: What could spook all these toddlers? Baby: Uh-oh! Alice: the Uh-oh Baby is a portent of DOOM! Beni: Run!
I am impressed that a girl of Alice’s tender years knows the proper definition and usage of the word “portent”. I know quite a few adults to whom I would have to explain it.

Is the Uh-Oh baby sort of an early warning system?! or is he/she the problem?

RUN! Lock your doors! Or climb a tree! Or hide somewhere! Just get away from the abhorrent Uh-Oh Baby!
