btw ,I SO hope this isn’t like the time Charlie Brown was trying to impress the little red-haired girl when he was at bat….but he already had two strikes against him….. then.he thought the l.r-h’d. g. was calling his name, and the pitch that meant all zipped right through the strike zone while he was moony-eyed (not unlike our intrepid hero today). Oh please don’t let an easy fly ball land on the ground right next to him!! The suspense is…is…….aw, shucks, I can wait!! Chuckles! CHUCKLES!! AND Milk Duds!!

Using a title and last name is a sign of respect. If I met Lincoln in person, I’d probably call him Mr. Peirce. I taught my children to address adults that way. Some preferred to be called by their first names but my children felt uncomfortable doing that. I have a nephew that calls me by my given name and THAT makes me uncomfortable as I would prefer he refer to me as Aunty. I think many of the current generation is lacking respect. jmo
