Gah! Good eye, my little friend... You spotted the ice cream truck first... But that doesn't mean you'll be first in line for a Creamsicle... Especially after I tie your little bonnet strings to this play structure... Toodle-oo ol chum!...

Ok, déjà vu Mr Meddick. Move on.

This is dragging on a bit too long.

Well, Mr Meddick, I don’t know how to put it, but listen, these Sedgwick-stories are really always poor stuff. Too much words for too little humour. Plautus (2nd century B.C.) already used to play with twins, and had more wit to it.

Delightful! Master Sedgie still hasn’t realized that he’s dealing with twins, and his Gentleman’s Gentleman, Jarvis, is conspicuous by his absence for three episodes now! Oh, when the worm turns, it is to be cherished! Maybe Sedgwick will be scarred for life by these events….

Really? And who’s doing the bullying here?

Read and enjoy or don’t read it. But just shut up! I bet you guys talk in movie theaters on cell phones, too……

I, for one, look forward to the Sedgewick storylines. They remind me of when I used to hang out with our butler.

There’s nothing wrong with the Sedgewick storylines, but this particular one has worn out its welcome.

Love Sedgie. The twins are a great foil! Will he ever get it? I think not. ha ha

Boy! I hate how these story arcs always seem to last six days. Why is that? How come we can’t see a three-day, or a nine-day arc? So annoying!

This one is a really delightful thread on Sedgwick – where we finally see the age group he really belongs and is enjoying himself as somebody his age should enjoy. The background of Jarvis sitting around reading and not butting in to ‘help’ is also a bit novel, and refreshing.

I miss Robotman too. How about bringing him back!?? Now THAT would be exciting. or at least an update on what he’s doing!
BurritoBandito over 11 years ago
Perhaps this experience will inspire Sedgwick to clone himself?

Meanwhile, has anyone noticed how Sedgie has blossomed? Going down the slide without Jarvis tuning it into a water ride. Running ( or at least planning on running) to get his own Creamsicle (although he would need Jarvis to pay). I say, good show, old chap!

Really enjoying the twins!

Give it up on Robotman. It is copyrighted and Meddick does not have ownership. It will not be coming back. Ever. Go to a used book store or check out comic archives for your fix.

I do believe if you find the comics not to your liking rather than criticize, just quit reading them. I’m sure you can find something to entertain you. Perhaps the National enquirer.

Keep cool, fellows! As a reader I’m entitled to evaluation, just as every reader does after reading a book. And no, sorry, you don’t need to be a cartoonist to tell if you like a comic strip. Just check the faces out: Master Sedgewick simply never changes his face. The twins neither. Jarvis neither. Now, Mr Meddick has got a talent in drawing funny faces, especially if their eyes are hidden (think of Monty and Moondog). How good can a strip be with staring one-face characters?
chriscc63 over 11 years ago
he should have said " toodle-oo OLD Sport" . although Sedgwick is a Victorian era character is almost a throw back to gattsby . anywho we wouldn’t have know the difference.

I agree with those who find this arc great fun! Love to see others get the better of Sedgewick and also love fleshey.
Today I felt a yearning for an orange creamsicle (but it would have to taste as good as I remember it – not possible!).

I generally skip over the Sedgie stories but this one is great! That is great, period. Not just great verses the other Sedgie stories.

If you guys don’t like it, don’t read it. But shut up. Really. Does every comic, have to be perfect, EVERY day?i like the story line, it’s a nice break, and it’s funny. What whiners.

The internet has really changed communications, hasn’t it? We’re emboldened by the anonymity, and write things that we would never say to someone’s face.

I, too, really enjoy Sedgewick and Jarvis. Keep it (them?) up, Jim.
Kev_a_Swing_Dancer Premium Member over 11 years ago
While I would not have said I enjoy Sedgewick and Jarvis, this arc is deeply entertaining to me with the combination of Sedgewick’s transformation and his increasing befuddlement.I can sympathize with people who see the wall of text crowding an S and J story and groan. Yet that’s what makes this payoff all the better. I feel I’ll be more optimistic about my enjoyment in the future.

Today’s strip made me laugh out loud. Thank you! .Sedgie may be from wealth, but that doesn’t mean he can see or think! LOL!!!!
