….Judge Gil is just coasting until he starts his usual summer patronage job at Milford CC. Apparently, this nonsense is more important than teaching the lads to hit behind the runner. Why isn’t Wildcat all over this wasted season?Happy Holiday, fellow Giladdicts!

That 2nd panel is key — the plaintiff didn’t make some kind of report or complaint at the time it happened? He’s got nuthin’.

Knox’s objection is based on the irrelevance of the statement, not its accuracy.

About 20 years ago, a Calaveras County defense attorney planned to appeal his client’s conviction on the basis that the prosecutor loudly passed gas throughout the trial, including during the defense’s closing arguments: Poll: Would we rather see Knox or Jimmy employ this tactic?

P1- Foley’s hand is dangerously close to Jimmy’s package. He’s not called Hard Knox for nothing!P3- Jimmy shreds Foley during the discovery period. Dutch oven/ blankey party should be the verdict for Ob-Knox-ious.

Gil actually looks like he is contemplating retirement there in P1.

Too bad we can’t put a little story summary box at the start of the comics:“The mock Gil continues”

And I’ve seen that closeup hand pose in P3 before. Probably about 100 times.

My favorite was Mordecai “Three Finger” Brown. Played on Cubs teams with “Gabby” Hartnett. in the 1930’s. Lots of good nicknames in those days.
