    Brides can design their own wedding cakes? (I bet Flo disagreed with Andy’s idea being related to cricket, pool, football/soccer, money, booze, any of his likings.)

    @Chalkie J

    It’s not so much a drawl as a southern twang. And you really should try to follow the links for more music on YouTube. You will ultimately get all videos of “fails”. I think they mean “falls” because they have some nasty ones.

    Affie, Mine are hurting now from that joke of yours. Tsk, tsk. LMAO

    @Number Six, I am eagerly awaiting what comes next from your creative genius.

    Whatever happened to Mikey J?

    Andy Taylor had a drawl. Gomer had a twang.

    I wonder if the Capps first began to fight when Flo shoved the cake in Andy’s face?@Number SixA surreal little finish to your “Bloodhounds.” It gave me a nice laugh. I’m looking forward to your “Muggins” (whoever or whatever he, she, or they may be!)

    Thank you. It went okay.To start with: That link wasn’t directed to you in particular. Under normal circumstances it would likely be a stand alone post, but as I am going the long way round I tend to gang stuff together. There is extra labor involved this way not to mention the time from me writing to when it finally shows up. I can recall that some kinds of things would make me cringe as a younger person, that I now more or less, take as a matter of course. I love the Blackadder ! It takes quite a facility to remember all those lines.

    I put in some annuals along the west side of the house yesterday evening and was out about 6:30 – 7 o’clock this morning working on the plumbing. I seem to be winning the war on leaks and have yet to replace a sorry couple of more lines with the better stuff I found lately. I hope to get veggie seeds in the ground tomorrow. Happy Thursday to you !

    I will see if I can find some “Mama’s Family” links. You will have no uncomfort with the humor. Vicky Lawrence stars as the widowed matriarch of a dysfunctional family.

    I would watch ‘Redd Foxx’ all over again and try and ‘get over’ the thing(s) that made me feel uncomfortable. But I did enjoy the rest. I think me being sensitive is one of my bad qualities but people seem to like me for it.

    ’Mama’s Family’ sounds awesome! Thank you for the little description about it too.

    I’m glad the plumbing is going well and the other household stuff. Have you got much more to do?

    I loved the part in one of the Blackadder episodes where Blackadder says to Lord Flasheart that people would rather meet the man who cleans out the public toilets in Aberdeen than him.

    You have a nice Thursday too.

    Using the yahoo image search on my firefox Browser just now, ‘googling’ “first Andy Capp cartoon” [i was prompted] spit-out Bloodhounds, which showed-up in the 7th Row, 1st Column just now. . . .results may vary [?][really]. Boffo for Six; first Page Stuff soitenly!!!!

    . . . that first AC Strip featured Andy’s distaste for Florrie’s cooking, BTW. Can’t pin-point the Thing but should be in Reg’s National Museum of Modern Art.

    that’s quite the incongruous pick for the pre-Punk Band Stranglers; a real go-for-Baroque choice. Hard to believe 38 Years now.Muggins is a Cribbage term for roughly exactly what i implied.
