Not here in Georgia! There was enough rain here to make the grass greener 3 times!

The mower shop had my rig for five weeks but I finally got it back — and now the field out front looks like a field instead of a nascent forest.

I’ve mowed every week for the last three weeks and it looks like(if the sun ever shines) I’ll be mowing before Thursday this week. Rain is all well and good but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing!!!

He can come over to my house and cut the lawn. It has rained here some much the grass grows as fast as you cut it.

Lots of rain in NC, or at least the eastern part.

I lived on a farm south of Houston when I was a kid. I can remember it got so dry our yard cracked so bad I could put my hand down in the cracks and the ground never touched my hand on either side. Then it rained in a deluge and flooded everything.

You are a plugger if you got one of those to mow your 1/4 acre lot.

Out here in Kaufman County, we had tons of rain. I finally wound up mowing damp grass, and it’s ained three more times since then.

I feel for you Texas. Here in East Tennessee 2005 – 2008 we had an “exceptional” drought like redhead55 with a plus 36 inch deficit. We thought the trees would die..@billwa: I believe the obvious word here is drought or LACK OF WATER.

I thought the idea came from someone here in Texas, and it was so.
