Yes ā we are too lazy to add the extra letters to colour and flavour and we use sās instead of cās in many words, like ādefenseā (American) versus ādefenceā (British). I actually like the British differences in spelling. Iām also reminded of the line in the movie Patton, where General Patton is addressing British allies and says that we (Americans and Brits) are ātwo people separated by a common languageā.
