    Is this one of those trips where it’s uphill going and coming back?Like my Dad’s walk to school when he was a kid (and even though he grew up just outside of Olympia, Washington, apparently there was always 6 feet of snow throughout the school year).

    At least they don’t live in one of those subdivisions that have a Christmas theme. Who knows what they’d find on “Jingle Bell” Lane, Holly Jolly Lane and, goddess forbid, Santa Way.

    When I lived in California, there was a development near us called “Vista del Rey” – now I know just enough Spanish to ask, “View of what king?”

    Actually, it backed up to a strip mall, so it would have been more appropiriately named “Vista del Taco.”
