He decided she was a kynikos.

Advice Mallard: It’s all Greek to meme.

She’s so well-educated and cultured she should have a better job than secretary.

Very good Ms. Foxy.

Diogenes’ remark is even more impressive if you know he was talking to Alexander the Great.

(Alexander, at least, was impressed; his attitude thereafter was “If I could not be Alexander, I would wish to be Diogenes.” The whole story may be apocryphal, of course.)

“Being well versed in Greek and History are considered useless in our society.”

Ms. Foxx knows many things, but Dwayne Hedgehog knows one great thing.

I just figured he left because he didn’t want to bother with a language barrier.

You probably do. You just don’t know it yet. Ask some questions of your casual acquaintances and you may find a Foxx. Talk “with” them, and really listen to their answers. (Thar’s GOLD in them thar cashiers!)

What sort of woman would ever be drawn in by that remark?
