Hi Fenton…. Say…. it looks like nobody’s been here in hours!
I just stopped by to clean the grinder and leave off some paperwork….I’ve had a heck of a day, and I need to get some sleep.
Sorry to have to leave you… but it’s such a slow night anyway…
The Monkey’s probably upstairs sleeping…oh… really?Yeah, I see him….and hear him….good thing he put chains on those chandeliers, isn’t it….
See you Monkey! The weekend paperwork is in your office.
See you Wednesday night, Fenton…and everybody else, tomorrow.Late.
Oh…. and quickly….before I go….
Shika, you’re welcome! And Stel, you too, of course.Glad you ate the cake. And Bev….Sorry, Brian’s cakes are al gone…But I just went over to my bakery and brought you back the extras of some cupcakes we did for another party….
Just to clarify something said yesterday….Yes, we stay and comment on the Saturday Ballard Street strip right through Sunday night, because there is no Sunday strip.
If you have a comics page set up, it will seem to be missing, but look for a line that says “Ballard Street was not updated today” and a place to click to “View the last strip,” which will open Saturday’s.
Those of us who have been trying to put birthday stuff together don’t purposely choose to celebrate on Sundays…. it has nothing to do with “bothering people.”We celebrate birthdays… Ta dah! … on the day the person was born.
Since the days begin on the comics the night before, when the new strips come out, we try to start then, and go on through the actual birthday.
Sunday is actually more difficult, because a lot of people don’t know to go back to Saturday.
BTW… There is absolutely no guarantee that anybody here will know about or help to celebrate everybody’s or anybody’s birthday…it’s fun, but .sometimes life intervenes…
Some of us do try to e-mail a heads-up to those whose addresses we have, if we have time…again, no guarantee.
If you’d like to be on my e-mail list, great! My contact info is on the June 6 ’06 Agnes strip.
Meybe its jus me, buttah thinks Sidnee needs sum glidder…. -—————————-gotta hed down to teh BS&SF loden docks, gotta fraight caR of yak cummin in….. frum Turdmunkistan…. layder!!! (Batpugs in charje)
OK, So I guess I’m guilty of disseminating incorrect information (and it was coincidence that all the birthdays I’ve seen were celebrated on a Sunday). I don’t usually stay up to anywhere near midnight (because I like to rise with the sun) and I’m sleepy after dark.
Stel, cool music and I like your visual better than theirs (play that on another tab). No, Sheriff, men don’t need glitter! I don’t even like cologne on a man.
Him hiding behind that cardboard reminded me of my old Army training in camouflage. Instructor held up a maple leaf going now you see me now you don’t. It was a funny routine. Of course it cannot beat Monty Python’s “How to not be seen”skit.
Well, the only roller rinks I went to were WAY back during my school days. The discos where I actually WENT were in Mexico after my divorce with the 2 gals that I hung out with in Chihuahua (oh! and there was that Mexican architect before I met my man). He dresses very conservatively, as do I (when we go out). I only wear crazy stuff at home nowadays.
I could tolerate plaid if he’s the one wearing it ( some of his boxers ) but otherwise not crazy about them (discussed that with my new SIL – he’s Scottish).
@X Tech and Veteran, John Cleese enjoyed that episode WAY too much. I’ve seen it before, but always enjoy replaying stuff from the Pythons. And Spike Jones is no longer to my liking, but I loved the songs when I was a kid. We had them all.
BTW, Can anyone supply the code that works for Flickr? Seems to me there is now no way to list an addy from a single photo in my “Photostream”. If it is going to be such a pain, I’ll take the whole thing down and use Photobucket ;-(

He should have never used “googly” eyes. They were a dead give away. Should have used the ones on springs. She would have never seen through that one.

It’s his cologne. Ode de Elephante was on sell at $5.00 a truck load.

Sydney is a cardboard shadow of himself. And that’s an improvement!

I’ll maybe pop in later. I’ve been sitting in a waiting room or cafeteria all day, and I need to get out!! What a waste of a sunny day.
