the lemming phase. sort of a predictable pubescent rite of passage for cartoonists. as one lemming said to the other regarding the cliff, “get over it”…
@emptc12Are there any NEW Smothers Brothers jokes?I always like how “Pearls Before Swine” confuses lemmings with turtles…….or at least they stack up on each other the way Yertle’s turtles did………..
I’m by no means a Dr. Seuss “expert” although I do have a copy of his “The Tough Coughs As He Ploughs the Dough” collection of his humor magazine essays and drawings, before he started his children’s books. Also a copy of his “Dr. Seuss Goes To War” of his political cartoons. (Also a copy of almost every one of his children’s books…..) I suppose I’m a Dr. Seuss fanatic. Also a Dante fanatic in my spare time……….
I have copies of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, “Green Eggs and Ham”, and “The Cat in the Hat” all translated into Latin. Quite fun to read aloud, really.
