We’ve had one of those coal fires going on here in Pa. for a long time, the fire has almost wiped out a whole town !

As a boy we had a coal, milk and laundry chute in our house.These days it’s getting odd to see phone jacks in a house.Time moves on. Things change.

Burning Mountain in Australia has been burning for an estimated 6000 years. Brennender Berg in Germany has been burning for over 300 years. Centralia PA has been burning since 1962, and was inhabited until just a year or two ago!

Worst of all, most of that carbon is in the form of carbon monoxide since it is burning with a limited amount of oxygen.
