You lawyers out there, is this how depositions are taken? With the opposing side’s lawyers and witnesses listening? This looks more like one of those “preliminary hearings” on a Perry Mason episode.

So is Foley going to try to build on this success by getting Jim Rome to take on Darby’s case without her? I don’t like that call, not a very good call.

JIM ROME: “Mr. Jarbo, I’ve heard that the Clippers are going to hire Gil Thorp as their new coach? I really need a scoop so tell me what the word on the street is. It’s been a long time since I actually did any good reporting”.

AS I said Friday don’t blame the kid, blame the lawyer. Surely they should have had pictures of the scene or taken the plaintiff back there to recreate the accident.

Finally, Knox’s shoddy leg work shows through. Not much of an investigator when you ask your teammate for his address to sue him. Did he even research the location? Didn’t the plaintiff give him any information, like the address of the accident?

P3 – Saturday it was his left ear exploding, today it’s his right. He must have AEES (alternating ear exploding syndrome)!

Joe will be the bigger man and not bother filing a countersuit showing he has more dignity than the average fast cash American.

Oh yeah, the place is owned by Guido Carpone. He’s in prison right now, but his boy Mikey “The Fist” is taking care of the place until he gets out. Mikey would be happy to talk with you about a lawsuit, but you should probably try to find the last three people that tried to sue him. They all disappeared and haven’t been heard from again.

Uh-oh, is this story line going to take even longer to sort out now as the case moves to a new plaintiff? Will that guy also have a son on the baseball team who gets into it with Knox…

Now Gil throws in a variation on Ben Parker, Kaz chimes in with a homily to American jurisprudence, Knox has an Grinchlike epiphany (his heart grows three sizes) and then goes on an apology tour through his circle of acquaintances to inform them that he’s changing gears and going to be a pro bono defense attorney to protect others from jerks like he was just a few strips earlier…

Meanwhile, with DP school record firmly in hand, the playdowns loom large for the Mudlarks…

P3 – One of the greatest panels EV-ER. “Umm . . . Do you happen to know who owns it?”

    Jarbo – “I don’t give a $%#@ who owns it. Kiss my Chaldean A$$!”
